The communication from both Phil and Ange cannot be faulted. They were always available to contact – whether it be via phone, text, email or face to face. No enquiry , request or change was too big or too small – and always met with a smile.
All of Phil’s team have been fantastic – from the carpenters to the earthmover, from brick layers to electricians. Everyone has been wonderful to deal with.
The quality of the build is fantastic. Both Matt and myself were amazed at the calibre of finishes, and were often met with the product looking even better then we envisioned.

Argyle Road House
We contracted Phil White (PM White Building) in early 2018 to build an addition to an existing 1850’s heritage-listed Georgian sandstone cottage in Berrima. The team worked without interruption through to completion just in time for Christmas, 2018.
The team constantly thought about the job and made helpful suggestions that were always made in the best interests of the client. The sub-contractors were always punctual and professional. All facets of the build were completed on time and to expectations.

This is a reference in respect to PM White Building, builders, based in Moss Vale, NSW.
In June 2015, we engaged Phil White, of PM White Building, to construct our new residence in the Southern Highlands of NSW. That assignment has only very recently been completed, so feel well placed to provide a fresh and up to date reference.
In short, we were extremely happy with the job PM White has done for us and we have no hesitation in recommending Phil and his team for any similar construction projects.
Firstly, Phil White has considerable ‘hands on’ experience with large and complex residential construction projects so he ‘understands’ and can be relied on. He has an excellent personal demeanour and is very thoughtful so, from a client perspective, is wonderful to work with. Furthermore, he seems always to be calm and doesn’t shirk or make excuses when mistakes or accidents inevitably arise. Such issues are remedied promptly and without fuss.
Importantly, Phil White has put together an outstanding team of sub-contractors. Whereas one or two might be described as ‘a bit slow’, the quality of the work done across all the trades is outstanding. While some sub-contractors were delayed in arriving to site, allowance should be made for the rather feverish demand for trades in the Southern Highlands. By-and-large, Phil White is an excellent project manager and co-ordinator of the various trades.
Finally, we found the financial arrangements worked very well. We were billed fortnightly and invoices were always attached to support the billing. Over the period of almost two years, we can’t recall a single error in the invoicing.
So, in conclusion, let us repeat what we said at the outset. We have no hesitation in recommending PM White Building, and its principal Phil White, for any residential construction project which they may wish to undertake.

We recently moved into our lovely new home built by Phil White and his team of professional tradesmen.
From start to finish it was an easy project, nothing was too much trouble for Phil (or his crew) who were interested and enthusiastic about our ideas and always came up with solutions for our, sometimes complicated, requirements.
He and his crew were always courteous and respectful and any problems were always dealt with in a prompt and professional way.
The quality of his work and attention to detail was outstanding and the finished product is testament to this.

I have no hesitancy in writing a letter of recommendation for Philip White, a superb home builder. I had the pleasure of working with Philip in 2013 as he built our new 300m² plus home. I can recommend him highly and without reservation. Philip’s character and integrity is of the highest standards. Phil White has recently completed the building of our new house in Burrawang. The process took about 9 months from the commencement of work, to hand over. The house was not a simple build, in that we specified custom frames, windows, doors and a high level of fit-out.
Complex items included custom-made bookcases built on site from scratch, along with the stair case which was also custom made on site. Unusual items ranged from double width frames designed to accommodate double insulation (both on external and internal walls), paired with heavy duty cladding that was installed under the extra-wide weatherboards. All glass was double-glazed. Internally a high level of detail was specified that ranged from the size of the skirting boards & cornices to door & window furniture.
All bathrooms were finished to a high standard including marble floors, top grade shower screens and tap ware. We were entirely happy with the end result and could not be more pleased with the quality of the work undertaken. The project came in on budget and on time. We moved in just two months ago, and are loving our new house. During the building process we enjoyed a very high degree of interaction with Phil and his team, including his chosen sub-contractors who handled the electrical, plumbing and slab/driveway installations.
At all times we found the process of building with Phil both enjoyable and stress-free. All the trades turned up when they were supposed to, all the tradesmen were hard working and knowledgeable, and it was the tidiest and cleanest building site that we have ever seen. My wife particularly enjoyed working with Phil in that he was always flexible if something was asked to be altered or amended from the plans. His motto of ‘anything is possible’ proved to be accurate, and any amendments were handled efficiently and in a cost-effective manner. We highly recommend Phil and his team to anyone considering building works, and indeed two of our friends are now commencing building with Phil having seen his work here. Throughout the course of the renovations, Phil was a consummate professional. He was accurate in his initial assessment of the cost of our project. From the time Phil and his team commenced the job, they were always punctual, courteous, responsible and co-operative with a high standard of workmanship (Phil by the way is a perfectionist). A tidy and safe worksite and was respectful of his surroundings as we were living on site during the renovation.

Everyone told us that we were mad to build! However, it turned out to be the best thing we have ever done and this is because we had Phil White as our builder.
Phil worked with our architect to build our dream home, and three years later it is still everything we hoped it would be.
Phil came in “on price”, his team were pleasant to work with and excellent tradesmen, there were no gaps in the build where people didn’t turn up because they had started other jobs. Everything was finished and clean when we were ready to move in, and any “after sales” problems (though only minor) were fixed promptly.
